As you know I always try to improve MobilePicross. One day the game will hopefully become a clone of Mario's Picross 2 for the GameBoy. It may be a hobby project of mine, but I've also been developping mobile phone games as a job. Therefore this is no half-done work of a wannabe-programmer but a well-planned project with decent programming style. MobilePicross is already playable quite well and there is a good level editor available. I also won't just stop working on this project because of a loss of motivation, so if someone puts work into this project by helping me with the redesign the work won't be useless.
At the moment I use self-made graphics for the menu and graphics from the GameBoy game are used ingame. But because I am no artist it doesn't look very good right now.

Anyone who wants to take a closer look will find an online preview of the game on this website. You can of course always download the latest version and install it on your mobile phone.
Because I am not a good designer but the game is supposed to look good I need help. Besides that it may not be a good idea law-wise to use graphics from the GameBoy game. I think I may copy the game idea because Nintendeo "stole" it, too and there are also a few other Picross games available on the internet - but not for mobile phones.
I already started redesigning the ingame graphics. I'll do the menu graphics next and I'm planning to reuse as many parts of the ingame graphics as I can. This will save time and work and it will make the design more consistent.
That's what it looks like at the moment:
The pictures are Fireworks PNGs with multiple layers. When you click on them you'll get the corresponding Photoshop PSDs. Unfortunately the layers got lost when converting from Fireworks to Photoshop, but all the objects are still editable individually.
One thing where I don't have any idea yet on how it should look is the Splash Screen.
I have already included the new graphics into the Online Preview (see menu above) as far as they are available at the moment. Let me know what you think about them.
I would really appreciate it if someone would help me. Every helper will of course be mentioned on the website and in the game. Besides that I will be thankful for the rest of my life ;-)
